As in past years, we invite you to join in this simple celebration of light and community as we gather at sunset to walk with handmade lanterns in our historic park.
This event is free, accessible, and all are welcome.
Battery-operated candles will be available for use during the walk.
In-person lantern making workshops will resume this year, and the Albany Public Library is supporting this event yet again with lantern-making kits so you can create them with recyclables at home! Stay tuned here for a workshop schedule.
Patrick’s work has been published internationally, including on the front pages of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. He lives in downtown Albany.
