This year’s lecture will focus on the 60th anniversary of the approval to build the Empire State Plaza, and its lasting legacy on the City of Albany. The featured lecturer will be University at Albany History Professor David Hochfelder, also of 98 Acres. In addition to the lecture, the event will include a panel discussion moderated by the NYS Writers Institute Executive Director Paul Grondahl, former NYS Assemblymember Jack McEneny, Scott Townsend of the Albany Riverfront Collaborative, and Kevin Hicks, a construction worker from the project.
